RYA Yachtmaster Pass Gibraltar / Malta

Posted by: Dave Latham, on: Saturday, January 30, 2010

John Cachia from Malta passed his RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore examination yesterday, after completing a one week Yachtmaster preparation course of training here in Gibraltar. The week gave John a varied mix of weather to sail in, from flat calm to force 8 with sunny days mixed in with prolonged rain and heavy squalls. Fortunately the exam on Friday saw clear skies and a fresh Westerly breeze, perfect sailing conditions for Gibraltar Bay. Johns result has enabled us here at Atlantic Charters Racing to maintain our enviable 100% pass rate for yachtmaster students who have trained with us.
We all pass on our congratulations to John and look forwards to seeing him again in October when we sail to Malta to compete in the Rolex Middle Sea Race.
