Cruising in and around Gibraltar

Gibraltar offers probably one of the best base locations in Europe for varied cruise destinations combined with the shortest of transfer times from Airport to Yacht.

Morocco is only 14 miles away, across the busy Gibraltar Straits, Ceuta being the first port of call. This Spanish owned territory is a busy cosmopolitan town offering a wide range of designer and duty free shops along with a bustling night life of clubs bars and tapas.

Further down the coast, Marina Smir is the first taste of "real" Morocco, a complete contrast to Ceuta. From here Chefechaouen, the blue city, M'diq and other towns are accessible by the plentiful and cheap minibuses that greet you on the dockside.

Back across the Straits, the Costa resorts of Marbella, Estaponna, Puerta Bunous etc are only a short sail away.

Westwards out into the Atlantic opens up the cruising range even further, Tarifa, Cadiz then the whole of the Portuguese Algarve Coast are within easy striking distance of the Powerfull Pronavias.

These cruising charters will also provide you with an excellent opportunity to extend your cruising experience. As well as enabling you to build up your sea miles, there are plenty of opportunities to practice navigation, pilotage and passage planning. All our charters are run by qualified RYA Instructors, so there is always someone on hand to give you expert practical advice and instruction when you need it.
