The Day Skipper Course is run over 5 days and although not essential, we recommended that you first complete the day skipper theory course. Knowledge of basic navigation and sailing ability is required.
The objective of the RYA Day Skipper course is to provide you with the confidence and knowledge to skipper a small yacht
in familiar waters during daylight hours.
The RYA syllabus requires that you will be taught:
- Basic pilotage
- Boat handling
- Safety
- Seamanship
- Navigation
