The recent sinking of an old World War II working boat whilst at anchor in La linea, Gibraltar bay, prompted the admiralty to lay a rarely seen “new wreck buoy”. These marks are always talked about and tested on during RYA day skipper and coastal skipper theory courses, it’s good to see they do exist and are used. Question for any budding day skippers or yacht masters- What light characteristics will this buoy show at night? Email me the answers, if you get it correct well done if you get it wrong why not enrol on our on line theory course and study for your qualifications from your own home prior to a practical sailing course out here in Gibraltar. Bookings now being taken for winter 2011 and all dates in 2012.
