Having just completed the second part of an RYA Day Skipper training course in the Solent in February I have to say what a refreshing experience it was, with clear skies and fresh winds the sailing was on a par with that experienced here in Gibraltar nearly all year round, if maybe a tad colder?? Our UK adventures took us from Hamble to Cowes, Ocean Village Southampton, Portsmouth and Port Solent finishing back in Port Hamble. With successful Day Skipper certs awarded the well found Beneteau Oceanis 37 was returned to Fairview yacht charters then a flight back to Gibraltar.
