The interclub yacht race series is ideal for people looking to “have a go” at racing at low cost and without the pressure or stress of a full on serious league race. With races scheduled once a month throughout the year they make a great social event as well as fun sailing. They will also act as ideal training days for forthcoming regattas. Price for the full day is only £130.00, this includes dinner and drinks in the host yacht clubs after racing. Ceuta races will include sailing over Friday evening and returning on Saturday evening or Sunday morning accomodation onboard both nights if reqd.

Real Club Maritimo Sotogrande have announced the first race from their club for 2010. The 1st challenge is a team race comprising of 2 teams for each club, RCMS and Club Naval de Telmo. The popularity and tactical challenges of the Rolex Middle Sea Race have attracted 2 more Pronavia 38 yachts to enter the 2010 race in Malta. John Cachia from Malta passed his RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore examination yesterday, after completing a one week Yachtmaster preparation course of training here in Gibraltar.
