Inter Club Yacht Race Series 2020
18 JANUARY 2020 – CLUB NÁUTICO SALADILLO
The interclub yacht race series is ideal for people looking to “have a go” at racing at low cost and without the pressure or stress of a full on serious league race. With races scheduled once a month throughout the year they make a great social event as well as fun sailing. They will also act as ideal training days for forthcoming regattas. Price for the full day is only £130.00, this includes dinner and drinks in the host yacht clubs after racing. Ceuta races will include sailing over Friday evening and returning on Saturday evening or Sunday morning accomodation onboard both nights if reqd.

Sotogrande to Ceuta, Yacht Race. Saturday 2nd May is the date set for the Sotogrande to Ceuta yacht race, organised by the Real Club Maritimo de Sotogrande. This popular event will start at approximately 1100 in the morning, it will take the fastest boats in the region of 3 hours to reach the finish line between the pillars of Hercules, guarding Ceuta harbour entrance. Our recent RYA Coastal Skipper sailing course took us from Gibraltar out along the Spanish Atlantic coast to the historic city of Cadiz. Along the way we called at the “deserted village” of Sancti-Petri, entering the shallow channel at night called for precise navigation and accurate timing in this tidal secondary port. An added twist to the pilotage was the discovery of 2 of the lateral marks washed up on the beach, following a recent storm!!!!
