After a successful weekends racing at the Sotogrande regatta, our newly trained mast man Simon Hayes (pictured above) went straight into a week of RYA training in preparation for his Yachtmaster examination on the following Saturday. He had 2 RYA Competent Crew students with him to practice his skippering skills on.
The week threw strong winds, light airs, thick fog and numerous tricky situations at him, all of which he handled admirably, resulting in a pass after being examined on Friday night and Saturday morning. Congratulations Captain Hayes!!
