Inter Club Yacht Race Series 2020
18 JANUARY 2020 – CLUB NÁUTICO SALADILLO
The interclub yacht race series is ideal for people looking to “have a go” at racing at low cost and without the pressure or stress of a full on serious league race. With races scheduled once a month throughout the year they make a great social event as well as fun sailing. They will also act as ideal training days for forthcoming regattas. Price for the full day is only £130.00, this includes dinner and drinks in the host yacht clubs after racing. Ceuta races will include sailing over Friday evening and returning on Saturday evening or Sunday morning accomodation onboard both nights if reqd.

Rolex Middle Sea Race 2009 After a magnificent start in Grand Harbour Valletta, Seawolf and her crew worked hard for 600+ miles, battling electrical storms, erupting volcanoes, gale force winds and equally matched competition. After loosing 2 spinnakers on the first night our lead dropped to third place and finally to fifth place in class and an unbelievable 13th place overall in a fleet of 77 thoroughbred yachts, we managed to beat all the faster class 2 and class 3 yachts, a truly amazing effort by all on board. The Coastal race prior to the main race on Saturday proved a testing time for the 27 competing boats, a light wind start soon progressed into a 20 knot beat to the windward marks, once rounded a tornado built over the land then headed out to sea , taking out 2 boats in it’s path, one dis masted and the other OK. Seawolf has safely arrived in Malta in readiness for the start of the Rolex Middle Sea Race on the 17th October 2009. The 8 day mile building passage gave the crew on board ideal sailing opportunities to log valuable, 60 mile skippered passages for use towards RYA Yachtmaster and Coastal skipper qualifications. 25 local yachts took part in last weekends short handed race from Sotogrande to Ceuta. light airs at the start soon increased to a blustery 25 knots Westerly once past Europa Point, Gibraltar. Events included the unfortunate dis-masting of one yacht which lost control whilst crossing the bows of an anchored Merchant ship!
